Locally Crafted Beer Booms for Shuckin' Shack Franchisees

While customer reviews for our 10 locations invariably rave about our fresh seafood and amazing appetizers, one feature of every Shuckin' Shack Oyster Bar that is hard to miss for any beer aficionado is our tap systems and truly local brew selections. With the recent boom in craft beer consumption, we have seen our average tap count double from six to a dozen individual draft beer options in our newest locations! Locally crafted beers are gaining a lot of attention from our seafood customers and we now are seeing a lot of people coming in JUST for our unique draft beer options as well.

A common question from potential franchisees is about our beer selection process and partnerships we have with national brewers.  Most franchise prospects are surprised to learn that we only require two beers on tap year round: Yuengling and the current seasonal beer from Sam Adams are profitable for our franchisees thanks to support they receive by way of marketing collateral, social media support and special event sponsorships. We also add Guinness during winter months, starting in October and going right through March, for all St. Patrick's Day celebrations. Every Shuckin' Shack franchisee is encouraged to meet with and source beer from local mircobrewers that are unique to their individual market and appealing to our loyal craft beer drinkers!  That's why visiting our Frederick, MD Shuckin' Shack will provide vastly different draft beer options than a visit to our Greenville, SC restaurant - which has 14 taps!
